Discernment is Critical in these Last Days

I started listening to a Simon Parkes video a while back that a friend had sent me a link to. It sounded good and like the guy knew what he was talking about. I shared it with some of my home Sabbath fellowship group members and received an email back from one sister asking if I had actually watched the video to the end – I had not. I did. The guy is not on solid ground. I immediately emailed back to the group, apologized, and told them to ignore the link I had sent them.

Parkes and others like him are very good at saying what people want to hear, but then they slip into reptilians, alien abductions and other questionable stuff. I like what this believer and Trump supporter had to say about Parkes:

Discernment is critical in these last days. Satan knows what will appeal to people and pull them off the narrow path of staying in the word and looking to God alone, and he is throwing it at us by the shovelful. I had to catch myself up big time, as I had wandered off into that miry muck of “reporting” that is Satan’s playground, and found myself spending more time listening to the worldly garbage than reading and studying God’s word. When the “news” of the day becomes more attractive to us than the word for the day, we have wandered into the spider’s web and must get ourselves out quickly before we are devoured by the adversary.

About God's Morning

I pray you are blessed, built up in your faith and Christian walk, and become an interactive participant in God's Morning. We are here as Christ's body, supporting and building each other up in all righteousness, in His name, awaiting His soon return. Maranatha!
