How Do We Love Yahavah?

Study to show yourselves approved – “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:” Isaiah 28:10. Yeshua tells us: “YOU SHALL LOVE YHVH YOUR ELOHIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.” Mark 12:30.

So how do we love YHVH? Do we take our own broken, carnal conceptions of love and believe that will be acceptable to Him? No, of course not. He clearly tells us how to express our love to Him, and it is by being obedient — just as all good loving children show their love to their earthly fathers by obeying them. A bottle of Old Spice, or the blood of lambs and bulls, won’t do it. Only our loving obedience is an acceptable sign of our love to our Abba Father.

When we read Deuteronomy 28, He clearly lays out the blessings and the curses for obeying and not obeying. In Exodus 20, Leviticus 11 and 23, and throughout His Torah (instructions), He clearly lays out the house rules, which we must obey if we expect Him to dwell with us and us to be able to dwell with Him in eternity.

Of course there are no longer blood sacrifices because Yeshua accomplished that once and for all by His death on the tree. Our faithful sacrifices now are repentance and a contrite heart, obedience to His instructions, with praise and worship. We are told that without faith we cannot please Him, and that faith without works is dead. The works of our faith is obedience to His commands. Rebellion to His Word will never be viewed favorably by our Abba Father. If we refuse to obey Him, it is clear evidence that we do not really love Him or have His Ruach HaKodesh (Spirit of Holiness) dwelling in us and guiding us because the Ruach will always lead us into all Truth, and the Torah is Yah’s Word — His way, truth. light and life.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law (Torah) is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

John 14:15 If you love Me, you will obey my commandments.

John 14:21 Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The oho loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

John 14:23 Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.

John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love.

1 John 2:3 By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,

2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the very commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you must walk in love.

Read Psalm 119 and meditate on it. Also:

Psalm 119:104-106 I gain understanding from Your precepts; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep Your righteous judgments.”

Proverbs 6:23 For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life,

Psalm 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Psalm 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
