Praying for everyone to have a most blessed and restful Shabbat — the first, highest and brightest of YHWH’s feast days.
Leviticus 23:2-6 “Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yahweh in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of Yahweh, holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahweh’s passover…”
Yahweh starts proclaiming His feast days with the weekly feast day of Shabbat and then goes into proclaiming His monthly/lunar, seasonal feast days (all of which point to Yeshua and the accomplishment of Yahweh’s plan of salvation), which will be kept in perpetuity so that we will never forget. “And it shall come to pass, from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 66:23. All flesh means all redeemed people, not just some special ones by physical birth or nationality.
If you are in Christ, you are children of Israel. Galatians 3:28-29 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.”
Exodus 20:8-11 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Yahweh your Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”
Isaiah 56:2 “Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Evil is sin, which is transgression of the law, the whole law, not just the ones we like.
Isaiah 58:13-14 “If you turn your foot from breaking the Sabbath, from doing as you please on My set apart day, if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the set apart day of Yahweh honorable, if you honor it by not going your own way or seeking your own pleasure or speaking idle words, then you will delight yourself in the LORD, and I will make you ride on the heights of the land and feed you with the heritage of your father Jacob.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Exodus 31:16-17 “The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it as a lasting covenant for the generations to come. It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”
If you are in Christ, you are Abraham’s seed and heirs of promise, and this is the sign that you are in the new/renewed covenant. You will keep the commands (all of them, not just the ones you like), of Yahweh.
